John Kane reviewed on 18 February 2023 a Landrover Range Rover Sport Td V6 (190 PS/140 Kw, Year: 2005 - 2011) with a Boottrailer 3500 kg of n.a. kg.

Massive machine great pull, constantly broken though. My buddys Navara did 250klm towing in 2 year and is far superior. Mitsubishi Pajero of the same era is the vehicle to have for this job

Landrover Range Rover Sport Td V6 3.0 and Bailey

G Parvin reviewed on 27 June 2010 a Landrover Range Rover Sport Td V6 3.0 (245 PS/180 Kw, Year: 2009 - 2012) with a Bailey Pegasus 534 of 1466 kg.

I have had the new 2010 Range Rover sport 3litre tdi now for 5 months and have done two trips to Scotland and one to Windsor. Something like 1300 miles of towing. The performance is exhilerating ! On motorways it can easily cruise in excess of 60mph. On the twisty 'A' class roads it is a pleasure to drive, the torque is so good you do not need to flatten the accelerator pedal, ever, and climbing hills is just unbelieveable. I went up a long hill which steepened to a 1 in 4 towards the last couple of bends and I had to slow down for the bends but then it could accelerate out and over the top.
It sounds like I drive madly but I don't, just finding out what the outfit will do. Usually I motor and cruise to maximise mpg. I was disappointed to get 20mpg on the first trip to Scotland, driving modestly. Now I can get 22mpg. Solo touring I got 36mpg over 320 miles. Handling of the car is excellent, it goes round corners like it's on rails, I had tried the previous model and found the steering and suspension made it more like a boat in water with slow steering response and a lot of body roll.
I anticipated doing about 9000 mile p.a but I have enjoyed driving it so much I have done 9000 in less than 6 months.I guess the Discovery 4, 3 litre will be similar to drive and tow. I heartily recommend the car and the Pegasus.

Philip Reid Esson reviewed on 29 August 2009 a Landrover Range Rover Sport Td V6 (190 PS/140 Kw, Year: 2005 - 2011) with a Swift Conqueror 580 of 1527 kg.

Well what can I say about the Range Rover Sport?? For a premium car it certainly lives up to its reputation. Have covered about 3000 miles through the summer towing the van and its never missed a beat yet. Fuel econmy is returning around 22-24mpg depending on terrain and running solo has been as high as 37 mpg!! Who could complain at that from a car that has tackled every motorway hill thrown at it in top gear up to now!! Love to see how the V8 performed with the van on the back!!

Range Rover Sport what can I say ! perfect for the job 1500 miles to France and back without missing a beat. auto with the sport box standard spec overtaking the numptys going to slow, and they pick on caravaners not so when you have a Sport towing your van . It looks the part it's a sexy looking car people will comment that it looks good great in black that is able to work hard pulling the caravan or my boat next time might get the supercharged
