Hyundai Elantra 1.6i and Bailey

Steve kinsella reviewed on 26 September 2009 a Hyundai Elantra 1.6i (105 PS/77 Kw, Year: 2003 - 2006) with a Bailey Discovery Neptune of 1187 kg.

My elantra tows a Bailey majestic which is not on the list but is very much like the neptune in weight.
Tows it ok but you do need to use the gears more and it is a good trick to get behind a HGV on long runs they will pull you along. I do this a lot in France.

Best towcar we have had since our Hillman Hunter, 31mpg average with van on at 55mph on dual carriageways
