Weight

  • The towing limit of the Landrover is more than sufficient (check this in your vehicle documents).
  • If you passed your driving test after 1 January 1997, you will need a B+E driving license.
  • Weight ratio between the laden caravan and the loaded car is 66%. Common in the UK: the weight ratio between the laden caravan and the kerbweight of the car is 71%.
  • The chance of snaking is small even at higher speeds.
  • Recommended noseweight is 100 kg.
  • Stability and safety score to compare is 201 points.

If the caravan starts to snake you should reduce your speed and slow down directly! Lift your feet off the accelerator and brake gradually. Hold the steering wheel into a fixed position.

Conclusion

  • Performance is very good.
  • Safe driving is possible.
  • It's a perfect match!

Influence of User Payload on stability

Weight distribution and noseweight are vital in obtaining a stable caravan.

Distribute the User Payload by yourself in the caravan and the car and then find out the stability rating of your loading configuration.

"like to tell you if u want a tow car for a big caravan you got to get the range rover vogue hills however steep you just cruise upyou dont really need towing mirrors as the cars as wide as the caravan on the saftey side when driving you are so high up you can see any problem on the moterway before other cars in the rain you hardley get any spray when i brought the car i had it converted to lpg for £2300 so starts on petrol the after 30 seconds goes onto lpg so where on petrol 13mpg lpg half price so for £5.00 get 30 mpg so better than a car and you have the sheer comfort and luxury and it does look the part"
