 = 9%When I first collected the caravan (loaded with awning and accessories) realised the car was having to work quite hard on the slopes and hills, but it was a windy day. I had to switch off the cruise control a few times to avoid the engine working at maximum. But I think it will be fine if I avoid big mountain climbs. My XM is a 2.1 turbo diesel estate/wagon (82kW) with 4-speed automatic, and the caravan has some heavy extras like a safe and air-conditioning.
